A museum-grade, monumental Postmodern desk designed in 1984 by the renowned Miami architecture firm Arquitectonica (founded by Laurinda Spear and Bernardo Fort-Brescia) for Memphis Milano. Stamped 1984 manufacturer's metal plaque on the underside, proving its origin as an authentic first-year historical production rather than a later re-edition. Spanning over eight feet wide, this commanding center-piece features a sweeping, fluid blue lacquered top dramatically trimmed with a bold crimson border. The sculptural surface floats above a dynamic substructure of heavy, vibrant yellow triangular columns, giving the piece a powerful, architectural presence that commands attention from every angle. Crafted in high-gloss lacquered wood, it was acquired from a private Memphis collection in Berlin and remains in excellent vintage condition.
